मतदान के दूसरे चरण में यूपी की ६७ सीटों पर मतदान हुआ। उत्तर प्रदेश के ११ जिलों की ६७ सीटों और उत्तराखंड के १३ जिलों की ६९ सीटों पर बुधवार प्रातः मतदान शुरू हो गया। दूसरे चरण में पश्चिमी उत्तर प्रदेश से लेकर तराई तक के कई इलाके में वोट डाले जा रहे हैं। उत्तर प्रदेश की ६७ में से १२ सीटें अनुसूचित जाति वर्ग के लिए आरक्षित हैं। यूपी में आज सुबह ७ से शाम ५ बजे तक लगभग २.२८ करोड़ मतदाता ७२१ प्रत्याशियों के भाग्य का फैसला करेंगे। चुनाव आयोग ने दूसरे चरण के ४८९५ मतदान केंद्रों को संवेदनशील घोषित किया है।
यहां सुरक्षा के ठोस इंतजाम किए गए हैं। मतदान की निगरानी के लिए ३२५३ डिजिटल कैमरे व १०७० वीडियो कैमरे लगाए गए हैं। २३१४ मतदान केंद्रों की वेब कास्टिंग की जाएगी।आज सहारनपुर, बिजनौर, मुरादाबाद, संभल, रामपुर, बरेली, अमरोहा, पीलीभीत, खीरी, शाहजहां व बदायूं में मतदान हो रहा है। दूसरे चरण में बिजनौर की बढ़ापुर सीट से सबसे अधिक २२ प्रत्याशी चुनाव मैदान में हैं, इनमें १३ उम्मीदवार निर्दलीय हैं। वहीं सबसे कम उम्मीदवार अमरोहा की धनौरा सीट पर हैं।
उत्तराखंड में भी सुबह आठ बजे से मतदान
मतदान सुबह ८ बजे से शाम ५ बजे तक चलेगा। ७५ लाख १२ हजार ५५९ मतदाता चुनाव में उतरे प्रत्याशियों का भाग्य तय करेंगे। इनमें ३९३३५६४ पुरुष और ३५७८९९५ महिला मतदाता हैं। चार विधानसभाओं पौड़ी, धारचूला, चौबट्टाखाल और बागेश्वर में पुरुषों से ज्यादा महिला मतदाता हैं। ये सभी मतदाता चुनाव में उतरे ६३७ उम्मीदवारों के भाग्य का फैसला करेंगे। चुनाव में भाजपा, कांग्रेस, बसपा समेत कुल ३४ दलों के ३७६ और २६१ निर्दलीय उम्मीदवार मैदान में हैं। इनमें ५६ महिला उम्मीदवार हैं सबसे अधिक प्रत्याशी देहरादून जनपद की नौ सीटों पर हैं।
यूपी में ११ जिलों में जिन ६७ सीटों पर बुधवार को मतदान हुआ है, उनमें ४७ मुस्लिम बहुल हैं। इनमें सहारनपुर, बिजनौर, मुरादाबाद, अमरोहा, संभल, रामपुर और बरेली की ३७ सीटों पर ३० फीसदी से ज्यादा मुस्लिम मतदाता हैं।
वहीं, १७ सीटों पर २० से २९ फीसदी के बीच मुस्लिम वोटर हैं। सहारनपुर से पीलीभीत तक सभी दलों की नजरें वोटिंग प्रतिशत और मुस्लिमों के उत्साह पर लगी हुई थीं।
जैसे-जैसे दिन चढ़ा, मतदान का प्रतिशत बढ़ता गया। सपाइयों का कहना है कि मुसलमान ही नहीं, सभी वर्गों के मतदाताओं को राहुल-अखिलेश का साथ पसंद आया है। जबकि कहीं साइकिल तेज रही तो कहीं कमल खिलता दिखा। कई जगह हाथी मस्त चाल से बढ़ता दिखाई दिया।
