निर्भया कांड के दोषियों की फांसी बरकरार, दिल्ली में दिसंबर २०१२ में चलती बस में निर्भया के साथ हुए गैंगरेप के मामले में सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने चारों आरोपियो को मिली फांसी की सजा को बरकरार रखते हुए कहा है “इस गुनाह कि कोई माफ़ी नहीं”। सुप्रीम कोर्ट का फैसला आने के बाद निर्भया की मां ने कहा हम इस फैसले से संतुष्ट हैं।

वह कहती हैं सबका धन्यवाद समाज, देशवासियों और मीडियावालों का शुक्रिया। हम आज कह सकते हैं कि कहीं न कहीं देर है लेकिन अंधेर नहीं। नाबालिग दोषी के बारे में पूछे जाने पर उन्होंने कहा कि छूटने पर रहेगा मलाल। मां आशा देवी ने आगे कहा कि पिछले साढ़े चार साल में कई बार खुद को टूटा हुआ महसूस किया, मुझे कई दफा तो ऐसा लगा कि शायद न्याय ही नहीं मिलेगा।

मुझे आज के दिन का लंबे समय से इंतजार था और इतने दिनों तक हमारा साथ देने क‌े लिए देशवासियों का धन्यवाद। उन्होंने कहा कि पहले मेरी बेटी को कोई नहीं जानता था फिर भी लोगों ने उसका साथ दिया लेकिन आज भी हालत वैसी ही है। निर्भया की मां ने सरकारों के रवैये पर निराशा जताते हुए कहा कि ऐसे हादसों से सरकार को कोई फर्क नहीं पड़ता।

उन्होंने कहा क‌ि कहने के लिए रेप दो वर्णों का एक छोटा सा शब्द है लेकिन सिस्टम को इस बारे में सोचना चाहिए और कड़ा एक्शन लेना चाहिए। मेरी बेटी बेकसूर थी फ‌िर भी उसे न्याय म‌िलने में इतनी देरी क्यों हो रही है? उन्होंने कहा कि टीवी पर बयान देने और डिबेट करने से इसका हल नहीं निकलेगा।

उन्होंने कहा कि जब तक कड़ा कानून नहीं बनेगा तब तक इस पर हमें न्याय नहीं मिलेगा। सरकार का इस मुद्दे पर संवेदनशील होना काफी जरूरी है। स्पेशल सीपी द‌िल्ली पुलिस ने भी निर्भया केस में सुप्रीम कोर्ट के फैसले के बाद कहा कि इस फैसले का डेमोन्सेट्रेटिव इफेक्ट समाज में जाएगा। आज के बाद दूरगामी परिणाम होगा। इस फैसले के बाद कोई इस तरह का क्राइम करने की सोच भी ना सके।

ज्ञात हो कि १६ दिसंबर २०१२ की रात मृतक राम सिंह और उस समय नाबालिग रहे आरोपी के अतिरिक्त चार लोगों ने शनिवार की शाम चलती बस में अपने दोस्त के साथ घर जा रही युवती के साथ सामूहिक बलात्कार किया था।
